Use this worksheet to look at real business tasks and decide whether they should stay human-led, be supported by AI, be automated, or be explored later.

This resource is for business owners who feel curious about AI but do not want to automate everything or start with a complicated system.

1. List tasks you repeat often.
2. Estimate how often each task happens and how much time it takes.
3. Mark whether writing, research, data entry, customer communication, or decision-making is involved.
4. Rate sensitivity and the consequence of mistakes.

Simple decision framework

• Keep Human: The task requires trust, judgment, sensitive context, or personal care.
• AI Assist: AI may help draft, summarize, brainstorm, organize, or explain.
• Automate: A predictable step may be handled by a rule-based system.
• AI + Automation: AI may help with language or interpretation while automation moves the process forward.
• Not Sure Yet: The task needs more review before changing the workflow.

Not every repetitive task should be automated. Some tasks need human attention because the context, relationship, privacy, or consequence matters.
